CONVOY SC 64
Departed Sydney, C.B. on Jan. 9-1942 and arrived Liverpool on the 23rd.
Arnold Hague's "The Allied Convoy System" gives 29 ships in this convoy.

Transcribed from several original documents received from Tony Cooper (Advance Sailing Telegram) - His source: Public Records Office, Kew.
The station numbers, cargoes for the tankers and names of escorts have been extracted from documents recived from Don Kindell, based on the late Arnold Hague's database - see his listing for SC 64 at
ships in all SC convoys.

Further details have been added with the help of:
"Axis Submarine Successes of World War Two", Jürgen Rohwer
"Lloyd's War Losses", Vol. I.

Crossed out ships did not sail, underlined returned, except those that are linked, which will automatically be underlined.

*A. Hague has a note for Elisabeth van Belgie, saying "assume straggled by arrival date". Also, a note for Empire Lynx says "arrived with engine defects".

** He says Milos was involved in a collision and fell out of the convoy (again, see his listing for SC 64 at ships in all SC convoys).

Notes:
Commodore was in Amakura.

Friar Rock, on a voyage from New York for Loch Ewe with general cargo, was torpedoed and sunk on Jan. 13-1942 by U 130. 31 died, 6 survived.

The convoy arrived rendezvous on Jan. 20.

A. Hague names the following escorts (extracted from this list of SC convoy escorts, received from D. Kindell; dates are European style, day/month/year):
