Notes: ** Rose Schiaffino, on a voyage from Wabana (Oct. 26) for Cardiff, via St. John's (left Oct. 31) with 4200 tons of iron ore, was torpedoed and sunk by U-374 on Oct. 31-1941. She had a crew of 37 and 4 gunners, all of whom died. (R. W. Jordan gives U-105 as the culprit, with the date as Oct. 28, east of White Bay, Newfoundland). Russian Convoy Series - PQ 7B is included (and as can be seen, Empire Redshank is listed). To the next SC convoy in my list SC 52 |
