Captain: Jens. A. Kragholm, replaced in 1943 by Captain Larsen.
Radio operator on this ship when the war started was Stein Stendal. (Also served on Inger Lise as 2nd mate).

A message in my Guestbook posted by Rick Pitz, informing me that Alar was in Convoy GAT 16, which left Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for Trinidad on Oct. 22-1942 with 24 ships, among them several Norwegian, namely Thorshavet, Britamsea, Thorshov, Sandanger, Skandinavia, and Anna Knudsen. This agrees with the information found in the Voyage Record below. (Alar's destination is given as Caripito in Rick's document).
