| According to a note for Convoy SC 74, Empire Moon, sailing in that convoy, came from HX 179. | |||||||
Notes: * El Aleto is also listed for the next convoy out, Convoy HX 180 which departed Halifax on March 15, which could mean she did not actually sail to England in HX 179. Audacious is also listed for both convoys. ** There's a notation for Viking Star as she goes out at 12:10 saying "Drops out of Convoy and anchors off Tower", then later, after the last ship has gone out, "Viking Star has taken her signal letters down" - Note that she's listed in the slow Convoy SC 74 instead. In the convoy was also the British freighter Alan-A-Dale, as the last ship to leave at 14:14 - no station given. The vessels departed in the following sequence: To the next HX convoy in my list HX 180 |
