For info, Dettifoss had rarived from New York earlier that month with Convoy HX 322. She joined Convoy HX 336 in Febr.-1945, in order to go back to the U.K. and Iceland, but was sunk before she reached her destination (follow link for details).
Larranga had previously arrived from Halifax with Convoy SC 161.
