Notes: Commodore's notes are not available. The Rescue Vessel Aboyne was on her 10th voyage as such, having started this voyage from Clyde with the westbound Convoy ON 281 on Jan. 27-1945, to Halifax Febr. 11 - returning with Convoy HX 339 from Halifax on Febr. 20, to Clyde March 3. ("Convoy Rescue Ships 1940-1945", Arnold Hague). Please note that more information on all the Norwegian ships listed in this convoy can be found with the help of the index below. Related external links: Liberty Ships - This website has been used to check the spelling of all the Liberty ships listed in this convoy (convoy docs don't always have the correct spelling, or they may be difficult to decipher). As will be seen, a few of them had just been delivered in Jan.-1945. The 2 websites below have been used for the same purpose. See also: Russian Convoys - JW 65 and RA 66 are included. Will be added: HX 340 through HX 358 |
