Notes: * City of Dieppe is also listed in the previous convoy, HX 193 - may have returned to port(?). ** The ship in station 94 is listed as Tavanger, which I'm assuming should be Torvanger (cancelled from the previous convoy). This ship left the convoy on June 19, and was sunk - see my text for Torvanger. * Kaaparen sank following a collision with Tungsha - ref. my page about Tungsha. It looks like Tungsha may have returned to port after this collision, because she shows up again in the next convoy. ** Belle Isle is also listed in Convoy HX 196, June 29 - she could not have sailed to the U.K. in both, but may have been bound for St. John's when in these convoys? She shows up again in HX 198 July 12. The above ships went out in the following order: To the next HX convoy in my list HX 195 |
