TAN Ships
The dutch navy used 7 or 8 tankships in 1941 / 1942 in dutch east indies as auxiliary tank ships called TAN-1 to TAN-8
I have information on the ships TAN-1 to TAN-6 and TAN-8
My question is now, was there a TAN-7 and what ship was it ?
Thanks in advance

TAN-7 was the Dutch tanker Benakat, which escaped to Australia. Benakat was 4763 gross tons, and completed for the Nederlandsche Koloniale Tankvaart Mij in The Hague in 1935. She was sunk on May 20 1943 by U-197 (Bartels), app. 190 miles NE of Ascension Island
