I would be pleased to learn of the possible whereabouts of images of any of the following vessels, each of which was built in the UK for British owners and later was sold to Norwegian owners. The vessels are
(1) AMPHITRITE, built at West Hartlepool 1887; sold to Lundegaard & Stray, Farsund, in 1912, and renamed CAROLVORE;
(2) STRATHCLYDE, built at Glasgow 1889; sold and renamed IVEAGH; and in 1915 sold to Lundegaard & Stray, Farsund, and renamed HULDAVORE;
(3) ENDSLEIGH, built at Middlesbrough 1891; sold to I Foss, Farsund, in 1915, and renamed ATTIKA;
(4) EUGENIE, built at Stockton on Tees 1890; sold to I Foss, Farsund, in 1914, and renamed ARANDA.
I have enquired at numerous likely sources in the UK without success, and would be grateful for any suggestions of likely sources outside of the UK.
