Anybody familiar with this ship ? Captured by Japanese, became Kenshin Maru, sunk by aircraft January 17 1944. Would like to know stats like owner, tonnnage etc. TIA.

Am wondering what flag the ship you refer to sailed under as a cargo ship named Celebes, 453 t., owned by Ministry of War Transport and managed by John Kelly was lost on passage from Birkenhead to Falmouth in March 1941. My source -

The steamship Kenshin Maru was bombed and sunk by U.S. land based aircraft on January 17t, 1944, off the north west coast of New Guinea.
