Yes Visje, she was under Netherlands flag late in the Second World War, and was managed by Phs Van Ommeren (London) Ltd.
Van Ommeren returned her to the USA and in 1947 she was sold to Gulf Oil and renamed Gulfscout. In Aug 1958 she had a new midship section fitted by Maryland Shipbuilding & Drydock Co, Baltimore, and this increased her dimensions to 572 ft overall length, 12,775 grt, and 19,819 dwt. She was renamed Gulfstag upon this rebuild.
On 24 Oct 1966 she exploded and was on fire 60 miles SW of Morgan City, Louisiana when on voyage from Port Arthur to Tampa. Two days later she was abandoned, then capsized and was drifting. In Nov 1966 the upturned wreck foundered in 28 38N 91 44W with the stern resting on the botto and the bow showing out of the water. On 13 Dec 1966 she was refloated upside down. On 19 dec she was sunk by her salvors in 26 56N 91 35W. On 29 Dec there were large oil slicks on the surface, and these were on fire, but soon extinguished.
