I am trying to find information about the German WWII merchant ship "Elisabeth Handrik Fisser." Can anyone direct me to a site or book that lists German merchantmen? Thanks very much.

Dan
The German steamer Elisabeth Hendrik Fisser was forerly owned in the UK as DUNROBIN and was sold to Hendrik Fisser AG, of Emden, in 1937.
She had been built at the R Duncan & Co shipyard at Port Glasgow and was completed in 1924. Of 5145 gross tons, 8875 deadweight tons, overall length 426 ft 11 in, breadth 53 ft, draught 24 ft 7, she was fitted with triple-expansion engine and had a service speed of 10 knots.
On 18 October 1943 she struck a mine and sank 6 miles of Dubrovnik.
I am not aware of any website at the present time that would give any more detail on this vessel.

No but I'm aware of a book that lists German Merchant ships. See link below. The book "Merchant Fleets 1939" (by a certain Mr. R. W. Jordan) can be ordered there. It contains info on the ships of the world, 1939-1945, incl. their fates.
