Hi,
In the night of 15/16 June 1942, a tanker was hit by torpedoes of the British 9th MTB flotilla in the Channel area. What was the name of this ship ? Thanks in advance.

I know that the german tanker Memelland (ex dutch Etrema) was damaged by limpet mines on 12.04.1942 in Boulogne. In the night from 15. to 16. of June the tanker passed in tow the channel from Boulogne to "Dünkirchen". But i don't Know whether the ship was torpedoed or not, but if torpeded the tankers was not sunk. The ship sunk 27.11.1944 on a mine west of Libau. Later raised.
I hope this helps a bit
Best regards
Axel

Hi Axel,
I'm not sure either if the tanker was torpedoed or not, all I know is that the motortorpedoboats claimed one hit. My source also mentions that the ship was still in drydock in Dunkirk three weeks later.
