Whoops, just posted it by mistake.
So much of what you say makes sense to me too. My Father, Harry Leonard Andersen, served on several Norwegian Merchant Ships during the war. I remember he says he was on Berganger and Ida Bekke.
He has told me so many stories from the war that are just amazing. Many years later I found out that I am the only one he has ever told his stories. I feel very lucky that he feels able to talk to me.
I will see him later today and ask him if I may post some of his stories from the war on your site. I have printed your articles on Ida Bakke and the Norwegian War Medals so we can talk about those.
