If you are interested in more detailed historical facts and personal accounts concerning the tragic events in the Baltics (especially Estonia and Latvia) and later the plight of the displaced persond (DPs)in Germany I recommend reading two books. Walking Since Daybreak by Modris Eksteins (Houghton Mifflin, 1999) and my book, Aftermath (Publish America, 2004). Neither book, however, presents details of the ships lost or damaged during the evacuation.
