Hi Mark
Can you please send me a copy of the commodore's report from ADM 199/50?
I think I already have copies of the other documents you mentioned, that includes the following:
ADM 199/2134: Survivors Report for ATHELMONARCH, BILDERDIJK, CAPRELLA, LA ESTANCIA, LOCH LOMOND, SHIRAK, SITALA, UGANDA, WHITFORD POINT (no interviews for JANUS, MATHERAN, RUPERRA, WANDBY)
ADM 199/142: S.A. Forms for CAPRELLA, SHIRAK, SITALA, WANDBY, WHITFORD POINT
Report by commander of HMS ANGLE in ADM 199/142
Report by commander of HMS LADY ELSA in ADM 199/142
Report by commander of HMS HIBISCUS in ADM 199/58
ADM 199/1977: Analysis of attacks by U-boats on convoy HX-79 on night 19/20 October 1940 (probably identical to what can be found in ADM 199/1489).
The torpedo firing reports are available in the HMA, but to understand the movements of the U-boats participating in the attack I also need copies of the KTBs of U-28, U-38, U-46, U-47, U-48 and U-100 on 19 & 20 October 1940.
The U-boats reported 17 successful torpedo attacks during the night in question of which 14 or possibly 15 can be confirmed from Allied sources.
Best regards
Rainer
