The document "ADM 199/2185/95 Convoy lists: Convoy HX-79" only contains the advanced sailing telegrams with lists of the ships which were supposed to join the convoy and those who failed to join. No details about attacks and losses.
The document "ADM 199/2134 Survivors Report: Merchant Vessels from September to November 1940" does not contain a survivors report for WANDBY or RUPERRA because in both cases the ships are listed with "No interview".
However, the survivors were often also interviewed by the NCSO of the first port where they landed. Unfortunately those reports are widely scattered over many different documents held by TNA and difficult to locate for certain ships as they are not indexed. I spent a lot of time during my visits at Kew looking through most of them and will check my notes if I came across WANDBY or RUPERRA in one of them.
I also have some doubts about the attributions made by Rohwer for the attacks on the ships in convoy HX-79, but haven't found time yet to collect all available information about the night in question.
Best regards
Rainer
