Tower Field 10/5/41 Damaged by aircraft bombs off Outer Dowsing Buoy, Thames Estuary, voyage London/Newcastle, ballast, Repaired. 19/10/41 Grounded on north bank when entering Workington Channel with cargo of iron ore. Hull fractured, vessel awash, broke in two. Cargo discharged. Refloated and 1942:
Empire Tower (MOWT). 5/3/43 Sunk by U-130 NW of Lisbon, 43 50N 14 46W (Convoy XK2) Huelva/Middlesborough - ore.
