Thanks for the inclusion of me in this subject. The MICHEL's Kriegstagebuch gives the same position as what Billy McGee provides in his above report.
As for personnel losses, the next time I go to my public library, I'll plug in the microfilm reader and see what von Ruckteschell has to say on the subject. He generally included a report on the interrogation of prisoners in his battle report, and always listed by nationality the number taken.
Incidentally, no copies of the MICHEL's Kriegstagebuch from departing Europe to November 7, 1942 have ever been found. A microfilm covering the span November 8, 1943 to arrival in Japan may be purchased from the National Archives, which I have done.
