I now see he was on board Liss at some point (happy to see that the archives helped you so quickly) - I wonder if some sort of mix up has occurred here; the 2 names are so similar. I'm not sure where you heard that he was torpedoed and saved, then torpedoed again, but is there a possibility that someone had heard the name Liss, did some research and found Lise instead?
