D/S Bandak of Porsgrunn, 262 gt, was wrecked on Febr. 19-1949 in Sognefjord on a voyage Larvik-Årdalstangen. This ship was the ex Grimstad of Bertram Jacobsen, Arendal from 1897, and before that she was named Transport (Brødrene Jacobsen) and Transport III (Vestlandske Godsdampskibsseilskole), going as far back as 1893 when she was built. My question is, who owned this ship from the early 1900's and during the war(s), and what name(s) did she have up until the time she became Bandak?

(Most importantly, who owned her and what was she called during WW II?)
