thank you for your point of view.
It may be true. C. J. Barkdull (6773 grt) was probably counted erroneously as lost in the Mediterranean in January 1943. According to Hocking (p. 111) she was lost by marine causes on about 14 Dec 1942. I think, the oiler, damaged by collision off New York following departure of convoy UGS-3 went down somewhere in the North Atlantic and never reached African coast.
What do Lloyd's War Losses exactly say about C. J. Barkdull, and about Eureka (170 grt) - I have found nothing on the tug? Are they listed as lost due to unknown war cause?
