Thanks to everybody for the replies.

I am certainly not sure about the spelling. Firstly they will be WWII English adoptions of Norwegian place names. The only one I am certain of is Fillan.

The names are for villages and small towns marking the route for the Fleet Air Arm pilots making raids on:-

Kilbotn - Operation Judgement.

Operations Prefix and Carefree.

Prefix was to bomb a German convoy meeting place at sea near Smola island, and,

Prefix was to bomb anti aircraft batteries at Aalesund.

I may have access to a book that could thrown more light on the spelling and will come back to this web site in a day or so with more clarification.
