I know with interest your post re HM Whaler Sarna. I am currently researching for a family members husband and this ship appears. The skipper on board the Sarna at the time of the incident was Cyril Sarel (The man I am researching) he was the Grandfather of the husband of one of my nieces. I would be very interested if you have any more information on this post.
