Hello.
Here is some information on the two ship.
Black Ospery 5589 brt.
Build at Skinner & Eddy in 1918.
Owner,Ministry of Shipping (Cair Line of steamships).
The British ship Black Ospery was in convoy from Halifax to
Newport, straggled from convoy because of engine trouble.
On February 17th, 1941she was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine, with the loss of 25 of her crew of 36.
Effna 6461 brt.
Build at Skinner & Eddy in 1919.
Owner, Ministry of Shipping (M.Campbell & Co)
Effna was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine on February 28th, 1941, about 350 miles N.W. of the Hebrides on a voyage from
Baltimore to Newport. There were no survivors.
