Cargo ships Effna & Black Osprey sunk 1941

Cargo ships Effna & Black Osprey, two ships sunk 10 days apart off Iceland in 1941 flying the Red Ensign. These two ships were previously owned by the US. Can anybody give me some background details on who owned them and any previous names, also anywhere I can find pictures of these two ships. Thanks in advance.
