I'm sorry that I do not know of the man you speak about but I am glad to see someone of your age on the forum. I do a lot of searching for someone who may have known my father who died on the SS Gilbert Stuart in 1945.Anyone who was on that ship at the time would have to be near 90 years old. My father's name was (or is) James Langhorne Spence. He died and was buried at sea in January of 1945.A few more months and the war was over.
