Harold Jacobs on the Stephen Elkins

I am looking for infomrmation on my wife's uncle who was a Gun Captain on the Liberty Ship "Stephen Elkins". He did a few Atlantic convoys in 1943, one to Murmansk and then some thru the Med. I believe his ship was bombed in Naples in 1943. Any info on ship movements or any personal recollection would be greatly appreciated.
