This is my first post on this forum, and I hope anyone could help. Due to writing a local history book, I need to find out more about four persons from the Batalden islands on the western coast of Norway. They all worked on Norwegian merchant vessels during WW2.Some of them also took part in different invations (Normandie, North-Africa, Italy), and were probably on Navy vessels for a time. I will be pleased if anyone have information of any kind or can give advice how to trace the men.

Gustav Ulriksen (or Johannessen) b. 17. mai 1906. Sailed from Sept 1943.
Olav Strømsøy (or Strømsø or Straumsøy or Straumsø) Sailed the whole WW2.
Reinhardt Buarøy (or Buerøy or Buarø or Buerø) Sailed the whole WW2.
Jonvald Buarøy (or Buerøy or Buarø or Buerø) Sailed the whole WW2.
