They will tell you which ships these men served on, then you can go from there. If they served on merchant ships, they are all discussed on this website.

If any of them was on a ship that was sunk, he will be included in the crew list on this site. But don't use the whole name, try the last name only as keyword, or even the first name only. Even though this will bring up a lot of results you don't need, I've found it's better to do it this way than using the whole name.
