Hi,
My name is Eric DUPRE and I am studing the naval war on the west coast of France during the WW1. I look today for the blueprint and pictures of the steamer cargo-boat "Saint-Sunniva" of Bergen, and pictures of its crew, which sank in front of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, in France near Spain, in 2 june 1917 strucked by mine.
This cargo-boat built by "Laxevaags Maskin & Jernskibsbyggeri" in 1912 in Laxevaag. In 2 june 1917 it was shipped by captain Yngvard Lund, of Bergen. The owner was Anonyme Society "Saint-Sunniva", shipchandler MM J. Lund & Co of Bergen.
Does exist always today this anonyme society "Saint-Sunniva" in Bergen ? Where can I found informations on this society about WW1 ? Does exist anymore "Laxevaags Maskin & Jernskibsbyggeri" in Bergen ? Where can I found informations about "Laxevaags Maskin & Jernskibsbyggeri" and the building of cargo-boat "Saint Sunniva".
Does exist anymore the family of captain Yngvard Lund who aleave after the wreck of "Saint Sunniva" ? and families of crews lost : Olaf Langrud, of Skien, Henry Olsen, of Bergen, Magnus Gjertin Nilsen, of Tveitevaag near Bergen, Paul Paulsen, of Tromsö ? Where are buried these men ?
Does anyone can help me ?
Thank you very much. Best regards, Eric DUPRE
