I am looking for information regarding the ship my grandfather served on called the SS Suderoy. His name was Harold A Swaine. He joined the Suderoy in December 1941 in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. From his pay book, I believe the Suderoy left New York on Dec. 3 1941 onroute to the port of Halifax where my grandfather joined the Merchant Marines as an Able Seaman.

He never talked very much about his time on board ship but I would like to know more.
