My father was an ordinary seaman on board the VINNI. I have read all about the Vinni on this home page and have found a picture of him in the group photo. My father did not return to Norway after he arrived in Australia and I am trying to find out why? He was a very emotional man and refused to talk about his time on the Vinni and when he did he would become very upset. Unfortunatly he died on March 21 1986 when I was only 21. I regret not spending the time to talk to him about his life before he came to Australia. Is there any one alive who remembers him? and what happend to the crew when they arrived in Australia?
