10th. June 1942 - West of Alexandria, the cargo ship* Havre, 2,073t (Anglo Saxon Pet. Co.), which had sailed from the port bound for Tobruk was sunk by U-431.

(*AFAIK The Havre was actually an oil tanker)

10.6.42 Torpedoed (in convoy AT49) by U-431, on fire, sunk, about 50 miles west of Alexandria (20 dead, 25 survivors)
