Hi Joyce,
Some new information since 2002.
CAPADOSE was lost 11.10.1944, and the loss is mentioned in KTB 3. Marinebordflakabteilung (the German guards that sailed with her). They claims she was torpedoed by a Soviet MTB off Ekkerøy at 19:08. They fired 450 rounds MG ammunition against the MTB with the ships 2 MGs. None of the soldiers were killed, but nothing is mentioned about the Dutch civilian crew.
Some more detilas about her is in KTB Seetransportchef Norwegen in 1944. She arrived Oslo in April 1944 as a replacement for the Dutch DS NICO HOOS, that was worn out. She left Oslo for Kirkenes in July 1944 (she was probably still in Oslo 22.7.1944).
I don't know what Soviet unit that might have attacked 11.10.
very best regards,
Erling
