Hi,
The Wilhelm Reinhold (PG 296) was captured 12.4.40 by the Norwegian auxiliary trawler Thorodd in Vaagsfjord. Commisioned as Norwegian auxiliary trawler "Ingrid" 9.5.40. She was damaged by German bombing 18.5.40, and taken to Bodö for repairs. Bombed there 24.5.40 by Ju-87 aircraft from Værnes (I/St.G.1), and sank in shallow waters with one Norwegian naval killed.
The wreck was raised by "Trawl I" (salvage co Erling Sannes) 18.12.40, but sank the next day again. Later raised again and broken up. She was planned to be Vorpostboot "Wilhelm Reinhold" at Hafenkommandant Sandnessjöen, but cancelled as total wreck 31.12.40.
Rgd
