I have the following datas for "HØEGH SILVERDAWN":
Built/delivered by Burmeister & Wain, Copenhagen in march 1940 as yardno. 648. The owningcompany was Skips AS Arizona (Leif Høegh & Co. fm. Oslo) The buildingcost was 3.5 mill.NOK
Dimensions: 444,3pp lenght/ 58,3 beam and 35 ft. draft
Tonnage: 7715 grt/ 10550 dwt
In april 1943( at the 15th.) the ship was attacked by a German surface ship "Michel" southeast of The Cocos Isl. enroute from Fremantle to Abadan. 30 crewmembers/ 6 passanger was killed. 3 men was rescued after 11 days on a raft, and the remaining 14 reached India after 32 days. they had then sailed over 3.100 miles in a damaged lifeboat.
