Here the first news:
ORISKANY
According to Axel Niestlé U-480 was not sunk on 24.02.45, she was lost inearly February 1945, probably on a mine.
The sinking of an U-boat by HMS DUCKWORTH and HMS ROWLEY on 24.02.45 can be proved, perhaps it was U-1208 or U-927.
So the sinking of ORISKANY by U-1208 is possible, but also U-927.
The opinions of Axel Niestlé and Thomas Weis about the authors Busch & Röll are interesting. Both told me almost the same. They told me that Busch & Röll had many problems with copyrights and had to change many points in their books, because they had simply copied texts from other books without permission to do so.
