Hi Jordi,
From ADM 199/650, and i quote
4 June 1942
' HMS Janus was damaged by a mine which exploded in her wake at 1724/4 in position 31°15.5'N, 29°44'E (off Alexandria). It was hoped to repair her in about three weeks. '
In fact she only was back in operation in early to mid October 1942. She returned to the U.K. (via the Cape route) for a full refit shortly afterwards.
No casualties as far as i know.
