hi,
on Dec 5, 1942, no German S-boat operated east of Cape Bon.
The operational boats of 3rd flottilla were at Bizerta, preparing the take-over of French units, the others at shipyards/in maintenance at Augusta or Palermo or in transit to Bizerta. 3rd flottilla`s war diary shows no actions for 5-7 Dec, 1942.
The boats of 7th flottilla were undergoing traning off Sicily and not yet combat ready (KB)
The boat in question may have been a motor minesweeper (Räumboot)
