My error with previous statement, BALER was the tender to CASIANA, salvaged after CASIANA was sunk at North Wharf, Corregidor 29 Dec 41. No details. DANDAY was a "commandeered" 40-foot launch (ex USN motor launch?) taken to Lamao late December 1941 and fitted with two .30 caliber MG. Both used for beach defence at Bataan (the Philippine Off Shore Patrol became responsible for beach defence on east Bataan when Manila was declared an open city).
Q-111 was 65' x 15' with three 12-cylinder 3000hp engines,
Q-112 was 55' x 11' with two 12-cylinder 3000hp engines. Both armed with two torpedoes, two depth charge throwers and three .50 caliber MGs. Basically copies of the WWI CMBs. I have never seen anything that detailed where the engines came from.
Q-113 was completed by the shipyard at Engineer Island in March 1940. Eight further units were laid down in late May 1941, with an expected fifty in service by 1946. Have not found any firm details on her design.
