Tosei Maru No. 1 and No. 5

Hi, I am looking about info on the Japanese Tosei Maru No. 1 and No. 5. First of all there is a lot of conflicting information on the type, but I think they were both tankers (Miramar calls No. 1 a tanker but No. 5 a freighter but other sources give different things). Confirmation would be nice though as even Miramar is not infallible.

What I have is that they were built resp. in 9.1940 and 10.1941 and at which wharf. Resp. 543 and 523 brt.Thing is, that apparently both were lost on the same day (July 5, 1945), both by mines and both near Niigata (No. 5 in position 37.57 N., 139.04 E. which is west of Niigata, the other one I only have "near Niigata"). Maybe I am too sceptical but that looks too much of a coincidence to me. But not impossible so could somebody please confirm if that was indeed the case? Thanks in advance.
