Brazilian battleship RIACHUELO

That ship built 1883 by Samuda, of 5700t
was according to Brazilian sources
removed on from the navy list
sold to European shipbrokers
then towed to be scrapped
and sunk underway.

Unfortunately I was not able to trace
- who bought the ship to scrap
- when the ship left Brasil under tow
- which tugs were involved
- when and where its sunk

Not really on the topic but interesting

Falkirk Herald - Saturday 29 August 1914
"The Thames is the sister ship of the Clyde, recently demolished within the Bridgeness yard, and she now lies in the berth formerly occupied by the Brazilian battleship in the course of demolition."
