In English:

At approx. 09:00 on 8 Jul 1943, the Faroese vessel SS Mistletoe (built 1884, 87 grt) enroute from Torshavn to Island with ice was attacked by a German low flying two-motored seaplane some 258 miles southeast of Höfn, Iceland. The plane dropped two bombs exploding in the vicinity of Mistletoe and strafed the vessel by a machine gun. The ship responded to it by her gun but the attack left one man dead and another one heavily wounded. Following the attack, SS Mistletoe was leaking water and sinking. The ship had to be abandoned at 10:20 and went down shortly thereafter. The surviving crew were rescued by the Faroese vessel SS Wilhelmenia in a short time which landed them at 17:00 on 9 Jul 1943. A seriously wounded man died at 4:45 on 9 Jul 1943 becoming the second fatality. (Source: [www.sbib.dk], ship no. 88.)
