Seeking evidence of Bristol/Avonmouth war rubble used as ballast

Hello. I'm doing research on the Bristol Basin, a New York City landmark that consists of war rubble from Bristol/Avonmouth, England. Said rubble was used as ballast in returning WWII transport ships, and then dumped along the East River upon arrival in New York. I notice from your site that Capt. E.G. Johansen of the Dagrun stated that his ship took on "1000 tons" of ballast from Avonmouth before departing for New York on 5 Apr 1941. Might you have access to the fuller account of that journey? I'm interested to see if he--or other captains or crew of any ships--state that they picked up war rubble from Avonmouth/Bristol in 1941/1942.

Thanks for any help! (And I'm happy to answer any questions along the way.)
