London Guardian of 29 July 1870 clarifies date of loss as Tuesday, 14 June. Unfortunately the rest of the account is same as yours.

I cannot find anything else other than mention of her loss, which makes me thing the newspaper accounts (which all appear to be from same source) got the name wrong.
