There are many other accounts which include naval activity on the periphery of the subject as they focus on land campaign, health issues, etc.

I recall reading a day book on Santiago de Cuba which reported movements of troops and ships in/out of Santiago.I recall it held an account of the sinking of the gunboat Relampago.
