Hello Jan-Olof,
These were Argentina (5083 GRT, 1907) and Italia (5203 GRT, 1905) escorted by the auxiliary Barletta and the torpedo-boats Lupo, Climene and Libra. Thrasher fired four torpedoes at 0422/25 from 5,000 yards and missed (position 36°08' N, 26°45' E). Libra carried a counter-attack, dropping 36 depth-charges in six runs and claimed the submaine sunk ut hrasher escaped. I see this attack is also missing on the uboat.net page, Brian take note!
Best regards,
Platon
