Kurland

Can someone clarify the following for me?

I have information that the Norwegian Høegh Trader was seized by the Germans while building in 1940, renamed Kurland, transferred to the Kriegsmarine (in the management of Norddeutscher Lloyd), July-1941. Served until 1942 as a "Fleet Scout Ship", then as a target ship and naval auxiliary. Is the name Kurland incorrect here, or was it renamed again later while serving in the Kriegsmarine?

Theo sent me some info a while back on another Norwegian ship, M/S Bratland, saying among other things, she was put into service in the Baltic as Kurland in Aug.-1944. (See my text for Bratland
[www.warsailors.com]). Some previous info I had was that this ship was used in the Baltic under the name Warthe, then as Seelöwe A5 transport from Aug.-1940.
