Hi Kurt,
The patrol report of Upholder gave the following;
1720 hours - Sighted one Orsa class torpedo boat and one small diesel merchant vessel of about 2500 tons proceeding Eastwards. The merchant was in ballast. Started attack.
1739 hours - Fired three torpedoes at the merchant vessel. Obtained one hit. Retired to the West. The HE (Hydrophone Effect) of the merchant ceased.
1752 hours - The escort dropped 8 depth charges rather close.
1830 hours - The escort proceeded Eastwards at high speed.
The patrol report does not mention the exact position of the attack but her position for 2000 hours (in the log of Upholder) was 38°19'N, 12°49'E (This is about 10 nautical miles North-North-East of Capo San Vito, Sicily.)
Lt. Norman was in command of Upholder for this patrol so Lt.Cdr. Wanklyn could have a stand-off. Her patrol area was the North-West coast of Sicily more or less between Marettimo and Palermo.
Kind regards,

By the way, currently work is being done (with the help of Platon) to add patrol info for the last few T-class submarines that don't have this info added yet. When this is completed work will start on the U-class boats, Upholder will (offcourse) be one of the first.
